Susan,

I am responding to your customer complaint on the closing of the 7-Eleven at 915 North Columbus St. in Alexandria.   I am the supervisor for that location and at the surrounding stores in the Old Town area.  Unfortunately, I can not respond to your complaint in a positive way.  I will briefly explain why this store closed and will not reopen.  All 7-Eleven's located in the city of Alexandria had to be approved for a "Special Use Permit" by July 1st 2005.  During the permitting process, the City Council reviews neighborhood comments along with police logs for each location etc.  The City Council communicated to 7-Eleven that based on previous history, the location would not be granted a "Special Use Permit" to continue to operate, and thus we closed for business on June 30th 2005.

I hope that we continue to meet your shopping needs at the 411 East Braddock Road or 800 Franklin St. locations.  If you need any addition information, please feel free to contact me though email or at the number listed below.  Thank you for taking the time to connect 7-Eleven Inc. as we count on customers as yourself to improve our business.
